Target Table
Peer Feedback - Analytical Approach.
I have recently had my work evaluated and looked at by a peer. This is extremely beneficial to me due to the fact that it will help me realise what I need to do. When reading my feedback I noticed that most of the work was missing however this is due to the fact that I have left my sketchbook at home, and it is not the first time I have done this, it is becoming a problem and I need to get it sorted out. By always having my sketchbook I will benefit from being able to show my peers and get feedback on what content I need. The way I am going to solve this is the day before I have this lesson I am going to pack it into a bag thus resulting in me not forgetting it and putting my learning and final grade in jeopardy. After reading my feedback I also noticed that my peer said that I need to post more onto my blog, this is something I will take into consideration because it will help me out allot in the long run due to the fact that it replaces our evaluations and if I do not have enough posts I could be at risk of not getting a high enough grade. In order for me to be able to post more entries in my blog I will have to start doing real time updates, keep asking for feedback and post examples and progress of my work. When reading my feedback my peer mentioned that I need to post more images of what I have been doing in the day this will help show and give evidence of what I have been doing that day, however this is not always possible due to the fact that the internet is down sometime and it is not possible for us to get the pictures to from an email, On the other hand it would be benfiticial for me to bring a camera with a wire in then I will be able to get my photos without an internet connection. I also need to begin my modeling however I am not worried about this as I feel that I have the ability and skill to model and texture quite fast.

Thoughts of project so far...
I Have been enjoying this project a lot so far for some reason I'm enjoying the research part as well however i am not keen on my drawings in my sketchbook but they have to be done as they will help in the final project, I have a bit to do but the jobs are only small and will not require too much time the modelling will be easy as i will be relying heavily on textures and maps so most objects will be basic such as boxes, cylinders etc.

3D Environment - Proposal
Proposal
The brief we have been given is to create a 3d environment and emphasize on the texturing and lighting side of the project rather than having super accurate models for example to create a window we will use an opacity map instead of cutting a hole out of the geometry.
I am going to be making a environment for a game, the game will be set in a foreign country where there is plenty of sunlight and run down buildings The inspiration came from a massive online multiplayer game on the pc called counter strike source where the objective of the game is to eliminate all terrorist threats who are played by other people in the world. The game has a very open plan and not much happening in it, this is where I am going to be unique and make a medium sized environment with more objects that the player can hide behind, climb on, see through etc. I will be trying to use at least 3 custom home made textures. The reason I have chose to do something like a game map is because in a previous unit I tried to go for a photorealistic look and by doing that everything has to be exact and perfect where as in a game there is no rules and you can be as creative as you like.
My target audience will be the more technical gamers although I will be keeping in mind people who enjoy online gaming.
I will be keeping track of my progress and my updates via a blog which can be found at http://antonycleary3ddesign.blogspot.com/ . By doing this it will be a lot easier for me to update regularly.
I could be facing numerous problems with in the progress such as sourcing the textures needed and making sure that I am eligible to use them, also the computers that we use are not the greatest spec for 3d how ever if I take it steady I should be ok.
I will need to acquire numerous textures to do this I will be going into forums such as deviant art and sxc.hu and if I find one I want to use I will ask the owner permission to use it. I will also be making some of my own textures from materials at home such as flooring, plaster etc.
The tasks that are next are as followed:
Research
Sketchbook
Annotate Sketchbook
Gather resources
Begin to model.
